Purchasers for private construction projects, which are not covered by the act on public tendering, are free to require plastic pipe products to be marked with the Nordic Poly Mark.
In connection with tendering and public sector construction projects, no reference to a particular certification scheme is permitted.
In order to guarantee products with the required quality and scope of third party controls, the following formulation is suggested:
Pipes and pipe components must fulfil the technical provisions in the specified product standards and in INSTA SBC (see www.insta-cert.net). This must be verified through third party controls under the direction of Insta-Cert and the products must be designated with the Nordic Poly Mark or third party certified to an equivalent quality level.
